Overview

The function  of Political Advisor is key in the decision-making during missions.  The role played is of great importance both on the field and at the highest level. Their mission require them to analyse and synthesize data and information, to develop a comprehensive understanding of the context and key issues at hand, and to convey that understanding and analysis to their institutions at all levels.

 

Target Group

Workers from different Peace and Security missions, other international organisations, independent institutions and NGO workers at the strategic level. Military, Police and civilian personnel from the Position of director or equivalent. Candidates who are either already in an advisory position or are likely  to hold a  PolAds function in their career.

  • Position of polAd in various  Missions;

  • Conflict management and resolution

  • Public Diplomacy;

  • Media and strategy of communication

  • Reporting and Speechwriting;

  • Negotiation and Mediation

  • Data collection method and Analytical tools

  • Networking with partners​
